Edward Devon House has been involved with music since he was old enough to walk. He grew up singing gospel music at his church when he was only eight years old. He sang in his church's children's choir at age eight, the youth choir at age 12, the inspirational choir at age 16, and the Men's Choir at age 18. He also sang in his high school's Gospel Choir his Senior year at age 18.
Edward has the discipline and respect for the entertainment business in all areas as far as music, film, television, and even modeling. He more than has the potential to be a front line leader in any project he dives into.
He has served in the United States Navy for four years. His accomplishments during this time are almost countless. With awards ranging from Letters of Accomodation from top government military officers to Letters of Commendation from foreign leaders he has proven his compassion for people as a whole with loyalty dedication, respect, and professionalism.
Edward knows what it means to step up on a professional stage. In 2003, he was priviledged to be stationed aboard the first American ship (USS Vandegrift FFG-48-Yokosuka, Japan) to return to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for the first time since Vietnam War of 1975. There he assisted with hosting onboard his ship the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, a host of international media including CNN, FOX News and CBS. He and members of his ship also enjoyed a game of volleyball with the Vetnamese Technical Navy. The visit Mr. House embarked upon was a successful Peace-Keeping Mission authorized by the President of the United States of America. The visit paved the way for three more ships, over the past 3 years since 2003, to also sail to Vietnam to continually strengthen the United States' relationship with a once violent enemy of the United States.
Just last year while training in Gulfport/Biloxi, MS he once again volunteered his time and service devoted to assist in Search and Rescue efforts, both alive and perished, with his fellow sailors in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He assisted in patrolling neighborhoods to protect evacuated houses from looters., guarding national interests, and aiding families and government contractors in the most damaged areas in and around town. His company was awarded with the Navy Humanitarian Award by Washington, D.C. and given a certificate of appreciation from the Governor of Gulfport/Biloxi, MS and also the Mayor of Louisiana.
He has had an active participation on the War On Terrorism and Operaton Enduring Freedom while currently being stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba guarding some of the world's most dangerous "suspected" Al-Qaeda and Taliban-linked "suspected" members. He is extremely calm, patient and professional and his actions are a direct reflection of the American people and the President.
Edward has performed through karaoke and live performance of his single "Up In The Club" in numerous clubs in the number two party spot in the world (Hersonnisos and Malia on the island of Crete in Greece). He and a friend of his (Brandon Brooks, also in the Navy; a native of Houston, Texas) composed the creative urban song in Brandon's house. The single was then performed free of charge in over 32 clubs in one night in front of thousands of international tourists. Free copies of the single were given away to tourists and club managers, thus bringing American style music to international ears who had never heard it before. He has been been internationally scouted in Greece, Germany and the U.K. but is reserved to finishing his final year in the military.
Overall, Edward Devon House is an outstanding talent waiting to be exposed. He has accomplished so much musically and military-wise already and he's only 23. It has helped shape his character, discipline, and hard work ethic. His explosive personality, sense of humor, and deep compassion for all types of music, acting and modeling more than enables him to be a powerhouse for anyone who may be interested in him. He will be attending Full Sail School of Film, Art, Design, Music, & Media Production of Orlando, FL in spring or summer of 2008 to major in Show Production & Touring and Entertainment Business.
